Lavanila The Healthy SunScreen Sport Review
Disclosure: I was sent this product by BeautyBridge.com, I was not paid to post, all thoughts are my own.

I was sent this Lavanilla sunblock from Beauty Bridge to test out and see how I liked it. The Lavanilla The Healthy SunScreen Sport Luxe SPF 30 Face and Body Cream was something that caught my eye as I am always trying physical sunblocks and I haven't seen many "sport" versions. As with any other sunblock review you will see by me this is a physical sun block. It's active ingredients are Titanium Dioxide 4.1% Zinc Oxide 8.4% . Physical sunscreens reflects the rays to block them, with Titanium dioxide and Zinc oxide as the active ingredients. Unlike chemical sunscreens that need time to start being effective you can apply and go with a physical SPF. Physical SPFs also are best for sensitive skin which is why I use them since chemical sunblocks irritate my skin.

The formula of the Lavanila The Healthy SunScreen Sport Luxe SPF 30 is unique. It is rather thick, lightly tinted and doesn't have a fragrance. The thick formula is unlike other sunblocks I've worn, and it does need to be worked onto the skin, but most physical sunblocks take a bit more work to apply. I like to run a bit down my arm and then pat to blend it over my skin. It feels sticky when you first apply it, but dries down after about five minutes. I like that it dries down since most still feel a bit oily so the texture is a winner for me.

The tube is 2.5 oz. and retails for $30.00, so it's at a similar price point to most higher end sunblocks that I own. I use this only when I am going to be outside or in the car for a long time, rather than facial sunscreen that I wear everyday. I wasn't able to use this one on my face like I do with most of the higher end sunblocks as my skin broke out when I used it on my face. As always I recommend spot testing since this has a unique formula. It did sit well under my makeup which was great, but something caused be to break out after a few days of use on my face. Currently I use it on my arms and décolleté, for the price since I am not able to use it on my face I may pass on repurchasing it.

Overall, I Iike the texture of the formula of the Lavanilla The Healthy SunScreen Sport Luxe SPF 30 Face and Body Cream as it has a very dry finish without drying out my skin. It also lasted when I wore it tubing on the riving when I was in Oregon. I didn't get burned eventhough I was in the water which I really liked since typically I can't get the mineral sunblocks to stay on if I am doing anything in the water. I would prefer if this worked for me on my face, however as with all skincare you may have different results, but I do really enjoy the dry finish of the sunblock.
