In general do you wear more colors or more neutrals? Is that with your makeup, or your clothes or your decor in your home? I definitely reach way more for colors and even if I plan to do a neutral eye typically grab one or two shadows that are a little more colorful. My clothes however are full of neutrals mostly black and white. And our home is white and warm wood. I really like peaceful surroundings which I find neutrals to be much more peaceful but then I like to create with color. Do you like seeing crazy colorful looks more or do you want looks that you could wear on your normal day to day? What kind of makeup do you actually wear on most weekdays?⠀ ⠀ ⠀ I understand that obviously you can wear whatever makeup you want as daytime makeup, but I also understand that some of you guys work in professional environments where you maybe can't wear some crazy glittery cut crease or maybe your student or a parent and just don't have a ton of time to get ready. ⠀ ⠀ I'll definitely keep doing more colorful avant-garde looks but I'm happy to also make tutorials and inspiration from our wearable looks too if that's what you guys want to see!⠀ ⠀ When I worked at Sephora and was doing the influencer thing I definitely wore a lot of heavy makeup and actually were false lashes almost every day of the week. My makeup has changed over the past few years as I got glasses so I don't wear lashes quite as often and most mornings I don't have a bunch of time to sit down and put on some cool makeup so I've had to learn to be fast while still keeping things colorful because that's more my style.⠀ ⠀ I know you guys have seen a lot of very Barbie inspired looks with the new @amrezy x @ palette. What's your creative outlet? What do you do to relax or chill out?⠀ ⠀ Wandering in watercolors. Do you ever just sit down and kind of doodle or create just right or do whatever you're creative outlet is just to chill. That's kinda what this was. ⠀ ⠀ The snow's starting to melt today so I'm hoping we can get out and about by tomorrow. Pretty in Pink 💗🧁🌸🌷 Do you like the color pink? What's your favorite shade of pink? Would you wear pink as an eyeshadow color? Let me know in the comments I really didn't like pink for a while but I've decided I really do like pinks that are either the really cool-toned cotton candy and I like pinks that are on the warmer side as long as they're still sitting as a lighter pastel. I actually had cool toned cotton candy colored hair for quite a few years and I miss it all the time. This look I tried a couple new things. I watched @ssssamanthaa 's brow video which I would highly recommend you check out and I finally tried to soap brows. I'm kind of digging these overly fluffy brows because I fill them in less but they still make a statement. I used unscented Dr bronner's but I'd like to find more of a pure glycerin soap to try. I'm also using the new @anastasiabeverlyhills X @amrezy palette. I wanted to go for Barbie vibes so it's a very pink look. These shadows are gorgeous! Not just the colors, but the finishes are so fun. How was your New Year's Eve? What did you do to celebrate? We had a lot key party. My favorite part of preparing for a party is making the food and planning out the menu. My all time favorite thing is to make cheese and crudités boards. They are great for grazing and making perfect little bites, but are also beautiful. Some tips to create a nice looking spread. 1. Get a large space, but not too large for the amount of food you have. I use my wooden cutting boards as they give me room to have a nice amount of food on them and look pretty. I also then does have to get an item I don't use throughout the year. 2. Start with placing your cheeses. This will give you a good starting point to place other items around. You want to think about what accoutrements will complement that type of flavor and texture. 3. Use filler. This makes your board look full and add more color and variation in height. designing a cheese board as much like designing anything else You want to have contrast in colors and you also want to have variations in heights to really make it pleasing to the eye. You just also want to be thinking about contrast and texture and flavor as well since you're working with food. In this board I use spinach, arugula, and some fresh thyme and rosemary since they were growing in my garden. You can stick the filling under items to fill out the board, and you can also use them to add height. 4. Have something with color that small. Just like with any other type of art you're wanting to follow the rule of thirds. I like to use pomegranate and berries throughout the board. 5. Don't use too much! What are your 2020 goals? I have some habits I am going to work on and a few goals. This photo I took forever ago that never made it to Instagram. I am pretty sure this was my birthday makeup, but I didn't love how to photographed and it didn't fit into my feed well.
